Banquet Hall in Copenhagen for 30 to 120 Guests
A banquet is not a party. It is the reception after the ceremony, the confirmation lunch with both sides of the family, the christening, the silver wedding anniversary, the company's jubilee dinner. Guests are seated, the food arrives in courses, and somebody stands up to speak. That asks something different of a room than a standing party does.
Our hall at Højdevej 59 on Amager seats 30 to 120 guests, and the food comes from our own kitchen in the same building. Every rate is published on the site, so you can work out the full cost before you write to us.

Why Maiya
One hall, yours for the day
You have the room to yourselves. No second party next door, no through traffic, no bar closing on somebody else's schedule. It sounds obvious until you have sat through the alternative at a family occasion.
The kitchen is in the building
Maiya Nepali Kitchen cooks in the same building as the hall. Nothing is driven across town, nothing is held warm for two hours, and if something needs adjusting during service it takes a minute. Most banquet halls in Copenhagen are let empty, leaving you to find a caterer and to make the two halves fit together yourself.
You decide the seating
Long tables for the speeches, round tables for conversation, or a horseshoe when everyone needs to face one point in the room. We set up to your plan rather than to a fixed layout. The projector and sound system are already there, so a speech, a slideshow or a song does not mean somebody carrying equipment in.
The price is on the page
We publish our rates instead of asking for an enquiry first. The hall is charged per person, the menu is charged per person, and drinks are optional. That is the whole model, and the price calculator turns it into a number for your guest list.
Amager, with parking at the door
We are in 2300 København S, close enough to the city that guests get here easily and far enough out that parking on site is free. For a seated occasion with older guests, or family travelling in, that matters more than a central address does.
Staff and clearing included
There are professional staff on the day and the cleaning afterwards is included. You are not staying behind after your own banquet to stack chairs.
Frequently asked questions
How many guests can be seated?
Between 30 and 120 seated guests. The minimum is 30. For smaller groups we host you in our restaurant, Maiya Nepali Kitchen, instead.
What does the hall fee include?
Standard decoration, a professional sound system, a projector, professional staff on the day, cleaning afterwards, and flexible seating layouts. There is no separate charge for sound and no cleaning bill at the end.
Can we bring in our own caterer?
No. The food comes from our own kitchen, which is the heart of what we offer. In return the menu can be built around your guests, and any menu can be made fully vegetarian.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes. You can take a soft drinks package, bring your own drinks for a small charge per guest, or skip drinks entirely. All three options are in the price table.
What does a banquet hall cost here?
The hall per person, plus a menu per person, plus drinks if you want them. Every rate is on the prices page and the calculator adds them up for your guest count. Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price.
What occasions do you host?
Receptions, weddings, engagements, confirmations, christenings, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and corporate events. We have separate pages for weddings and for corporate events if that is what you are planning.
Do you cater for allergies?
Yes, when you tell us in good time. Mention any allergies or dietary needs with your enquiry and we will adjust the menu.
What languages do you work in?
Danish, English and Nepali. Sending your enquiry in English is completely normal here.
How far ahead should we book?
Weekends in the confirmation season and around midsummer go first. Write as early as you can. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Sunday, and you are welcome to book a viewing and see the hall before deciding.
