We are at Højdevej 59 in Sundby, so guests from anywhere on Amager stay on the same side of the harbour the whole way. If you would rather be standing and dancing, it is the same hall dressed differently.

The seating plan is yours, not ours
Long tables when there are speeches and everyone needs to see whoever stands up. Round tables when the conversation at the table is the point. A horseshoe when the room needs to face one place. We lay up to your plan rather than handing you a fixed arrangement and asking you to fit the party into it.
The kitchen is in the same building as the hall
Maiya Nepali Kitchen cooks at this address. Nothing is driven anywhere, nothing is held warm for two hours crossing the city, and if something needs adjusting during the evening it takes a minute. Most banquet halls on Amager are let empty, leaving you to find a caterer and to make the two halves work together on the day.
The price is on the page before you ask
The hall is priced per person, the menu is priced per person, and drinks are optional. That is the whole model. You can work out the total for your guest list before writing to us, rather than sending an enquiry to find out whether the venue is even in your range.
The hall is yours for the day
No other party next door, nobody passing through, and no bar closing at a time that is not yours. That sounds obvious until you have had the opposite at a confirmation.
A short trip for guests from across Amager
It is about a fifteen minute walk from Lergravsparken station, and the nearest bus stop is a couple of minutes away on Kastrupvej. Guests from Islands Brygge, Ørestad, Christianshavn, Tårnby and Kastrup cross no bridges and go nowhere near the city centre, and Copenhagen Airport is on Amager too, which helps when part of the family flies in.
Staff and clearing up are included
There are professional staff on the day and the cleaning afterwards is part of the hire. Nobody has to stay behind after their own banquet to stack chairs.

Standard decoration, a professional sound system, a projector, professional staff on the day, cleaning afterwards and flexible seating layouts. There is no separate charge for sound or for cleaning.

Yes. There is free parking on site, so your guests can stop at the door rather than circling for a space. Højdevej is outside the paid zone, and at weekends there is no time limit on the street.
Can we bring our own food?
No. The food comes from our own kitchen, and that is the heart of what we do. In exchange the menu is built around your guests, and any menu can be made fully vegetarian.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes. Take the soft drinks package, bring your own for a small per-guest charge, or skip drinks entirely. All three are in the price list.
Do you cater for allergies?
Yes, with notice. Tell us about allergies and other dietary needs when you send your enquiry and the kitchen will plan around them.
How far ahead should we book?
Weekends in the confirmation season and through the summer go first. Write to us as early as you can. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Sunday, and you are welcome to book a viewing and see the hall before you decide.

Every event is catered in-house by Maiya Nepali Kitchen. Choose a set menu from Silver to Diamond, or ask us to build a custom menu around your guests. Any menu can be made fully vegetarian, and we plan around allergies and other dietary needs when you tell us early. Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price.
All prices are per person and include VAT. Your total is the hall fee plus your menu, plus a drinks option if you want one.
