Why Maiya
Silver and golden wedding anniversaries
A silver or golden wedding brings three generations into the same room on the same evening, and they do not want the same things. We lay the tables so the oldest guests sit near the entrance and away from the speakers, and so children have room to get up without knocking a chair over. Parking is free and on site, which matters when part of the party would rather not take the metro home.
Company and long-service anniversaries
A tenth, twenty-fifth or fortieth year at work is often marked in the middle of the day or straight after work, which leaves no time to set up. A projector and sound system for the speeches
Anniversaries run on speeches and old photographs. The projector and the professional sound system are included in the hall fee, so you can put the early years up on screen and be heard at the back of the room without hiring equipment in.
A menu three generations will eat
Maiya Nepali Kitchen caters the anniversary with set menus in Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, plus a Vegetable menu. Any menu can be made fully vegetarian, and we are happy to build a custom menu around what your family or your team actually eats. Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price, and allergies are accommodated when you tell us in good time.
The room is ready before you arrive
Standard decoration, flexible seating layouts, professional staff throughout the event and cleaning afterwards are all part of the hall fee. Nobody has to move tables in the morning or sweep the floor at midnight. If you would like to see the room first, you can book a free visit.

How many guests can you seat for an anniversary?
The hall seats 30 to 120 guests. The minimum is 30 guests. For a smaller group we can host you in the Maiya Nepali Kitchen restaurant instead.
Can we have both a seated dinner and dancing?
Yes. The seating is flexible, so we can set the room for a seated meal and open up space for music and dancing afterwards. Tell us how the evening should run and we will lay it out to match.
Do you have equipment for speeches and a slideshow?
Yes. A professional sound system and a projector are included in the hall fee, so you can give speeches and show photographs from the years gone by without hiring anything in.
Can you cater a company anniversary?
Yes. Maiya Nepali Kitchen cooks everything in house, with set menus in Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, a Vegetable menu, and the option of a custom menu built with you. Any menu can be made fully vegetarian.
What do we pay for children?
Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price. The hall fee still applies per child.
Can we bring our own decoration?
Yes. Standard decoration is included, and you are welcome to bring your own flowers, signage or props if the anniversary has a theme or a company logo that should be visible.
What are the options for drinks?
You can take no drinks package at all, add a soft drinks package, or bring your own drinks for a small charge per guest. Tell us which you prefer when you get in touch.
Is there parking for guests?
Yes. There is free on-site parking, so guests can drive right up to the door. The address is Højdevej 59, 2300 Copenhagen S.
How far ahead should we book?
Book as early as you can, particularly for a weekend date. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Sunday, and confirm a visit within 24 hours as well.

Every event is catered in-house by Maiya Nepali Kitchen. Choose a set menu from Silver to Diamond, or ask us to build a custom menu around your guests. Any menu can be made fully vegetarian, and we plan around allergies and other dietary needs when you tell us early. Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price.
All prices are per person and include VAT. Your total is the hall fee plus your menu, plus a drinks option if you want one.
