It is friends and family arriving in waves, a table of food and cake, presents being opened, and a mother-to-be who should not be the one running it. That is a good argument for holding it somewhere the tables are already laid and someone else does the washing up.

Why Maiya
A room you do not have to tidy afterwards
The strongest reason to hire a hall for a baby shower is not the floor space, it is the following morning. Staff serve throughout and cleaning is included, so the party ends when the last guest leaves rather than two hours later over a sink.
Alcohol-free is the easy option here
There is no drinks package you have to turn down. You can take the unlimited soft drinks package or choose tap water only, each priced per guest, or bring your own drinks for one flat fee for the whole party. For a baby shower that means the soft drinks table is simply the default rather than a special request.
Bridal showers and other celebrations before the day

Food built for an afternoon, not only for a dinner
Maiya Nepali Kitchen caters with set menus in Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, and any menu can be made fully vegetarian. Allergies are accommodated when you tell us about them. If there are particular dishes you want on the table, we will put together a custom menu.
Your own theme in the room
Standard decoration is included, and you are welcome to bring your own if the shower has a theme, a colour scheme or a backdrop for photographs. The seating is flexible, so we can build a long gift table, round tables, or an open middle, depending on how the afternoon should flow.

The hall fee is billed for a minimum of 30 guests, while the menu and drinks follow your actual guest count. If your group is smaller, as many baby showers are, you are still welcome. Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum number of guests?
The hall seats up to 120 guests, and the hall fee is billed for a minimum of 30. If there are fewer than 30 of you, you are still welcome, and the menu and drinks are charged for your actual guest count.
Can we hold the baby shower during the day?
Write to us with the date and the time slot you would like and we will come back within 24 hours to confirm whether it is possible.
Can we handle the decoration ourselves?
Yes. Standard decoration is included in the hall fee, and you are welcome to bring your own decorations, balloons and signage if the day has a particular theme.
Is there food that works for expectant mothers and children?
Yes. The kitchen builds the menu around the group, and any menu can be made fully vegetarian. Tell us about allergies and dietary needs when you book so the kitchen can plan around them.
Can the event be completely alcohol-free?
Yes. There is no compulsory drinks package. You can take the unlimited soft drinks package or choose tap water only, each priced per guest, or bring your own drinks for one flat fee for the whole party.
What do children pay?
Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price. The hall fee still applies per child.
Can we hold a bridal shower in the same hall?
Yes. The hall is used for baby showers, bridal showers and similar celebrations, and the terms are the same: food from our own kitchen, with decoration, sound, staff and cleaning included.
Is there parking for guests?
Yes, there is free on-site parking at Højdevej 59, 2300 Copenhagen S, so guests can drive right up to the door.

Catering by Maiya Nepali Kitchen
Every event is catered in-house by Maiya Nepali Kitchen. Choose a set menu from Silver to Diamond, or ask us to build a custom menu around your guests. Any menu can be made fully vegetarian, and we plan around allergies and other dietary needs when you tell us early. Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price.
All prices include VAT. Your total is the hall fee plus your menu, plus a drinks option. Bringing your own drinks costs one flat fee for the whole party.
