Confirmation Venue in Copenhagen
A Danish confirmation is the one day when both sides of the family turn up at once. Grandparents, aunts, cousins, neighbours and half a school class all need a seat, a proper meal and a room where the speeches can actually be heard. That is usually more than a flat can absorb, which is why most families book a hall.
Our hall at Højdevej 59 in 2300 Copenhagen S seats 30 to 120 guests, and the food comes from our own kitchen in the same building. Decoration, sound, a projector, staff and cleaning are part of the booking. Have a look at the room in the gallery, or book a visit and walk through it before you decide.

Why Maiya
Everyone fits, including the ones added late
Confirmation guest lists grow. There are always more names than the first draft held, because the other branch of the family has to be there and because the confirmand wants their friends along. With room for up to 120 guests you do not have to cut anyone, and with a 30-guest minimum the hall still makes sense for a smaller celebration.
Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price
At a confirmation a large share of the table is children: siblings, cousins and classmates. Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price, which changes the arithmetic noticeably when a quarter of the room is under twelve. See how the price is built up before you set the budget.
Speeches and slideshows are covered
The hall has a professional sound system and a projector. A grandmother's speech reaches the back of the room, the childhood photo montage goes on the screen, and the confirmand's own playlist can run through the same system later in the evening without anyone carrying a speaker in from home.
The cooking is done before you arrive
Maiya Nepali Kitchen prepares everything at this address. Nobody in your family has to be up at six, and there is no caterer arriving in the middle of the church service. Set menus run Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, there is a Vegetable menu, any menu can be made fully vegetarian, and allergies are handled when you tell us in advance.
A non-religious ceremony makes no difference here
If your child chooses a non-confirmation instead of a church confirmation, nothing changes at our end. Same hall, same menu, same day with the family, just without the morning service. We host the celebration on a Saturday or a Sunday either way.
Nothing to clear up afterwards
Cleaning is included. When the last guest leaves, you leave too. Nobody stays behind to move tables or wash up at midnight, and there is no living room to put back together the next morning.
Frequently asked questions
How far ahead should we book a confirmation venue?
As early as you can. Most confirmations fall in spring, Saturdays in May go first, and many families reserve around a year ahead.
How many guests can you seat for a confirmation?
The hall seats 30 to 120 guests. Below 30 we lay tables for you in the Maiya Nepali Kitchen restaurant in the same building instead.
Do children pay the full price?
No. Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price.
Can we hold a non-confirmation in the hall?
Yes. We host both confirmations and non-confirmations, and there is no difference in how we run the day for you.
Can the menu be vegetarian?
Yes. There is a Vegetable menu, and any of our menus can be made fully vegetarian. Tell us in good time about allergies or other dietary needs in the party.
Can we choose the seating layout?
Yes. Seating layouts are flexible, so you can have long tables, round tables, or an arrangement that leaves floor space for the younger guests later in the day.
Is there parking for our guests?
Yes, there is free on-site parking at Højdevej 59, 2300 Copenhagen S.
What does a confirmation venue cost?
The price is a hall fee per guest plus a menu per guest, with drinks as an optional addition. Children aged 5 to 12 count as half on the menu. Use the price calculator on this page to see your total per person.
How do we take the next step?
