Christmas Party Venue in Copenhagen

Let us be straight with you before you read any further: we do not serve a traditional Danish julefrokost. There is no pickled herring, no liver pâté and no roast pork on our buffet. The food in this building is Nepali, and it is cooked by Maiya Nepali Kitchen a few metres from the table.

That makes our hall at Højdevej 59 in Copenhagen S the wrong choice if you want the classic Danish Christmas lunch, and a good one if your department or your family has eaten the same Christmas menu for seven years and would like a change. The room seats 30 to 120 guests, and decoration, sound, projector, staff and cleaning are included. Work out your price, or see the rest of the room on our party hall in Copenhagen page.

Why Maiya

A Christmas party that tastes of something else

You get a hot Nepali buffet instead of a cold table. For a lot of groups that is exactly the appeal: there is one occasion a year that gets everyone in the same room, and the food does not have to repeat last year. Tell us how much heat the group can handle and the kitchen will pitch it accordingly.

Room for the whole department

The hall takes 30 to 120 guests, which covers anything from one team to a whole company. We set the tables the way you want them and our staff are in the room throughout. If you run other events across the year, they are covered on our corporate event venue page.

Vegetarian is not a side plate here

Any of our menus can be made fully vegetarian, and there is a separate Vegetable menu as well. In a workplace where half the team eats vegetarian and half does not, that is a far easier Christmas party to plan than one built around a roast.

Sound, a projector and space for the year in pictures

The sound system and the projector come with the hall, so the Christmas quiz, the photographs from the year and the director's speech all work without hired equipment. The seating is flexible, so you can sit together to eat and open up floor space for music afterwards.

No clearing up, and free parking

Cleaning is included, so nobody stays behind to empty bins. There is free on-site parking at Højdevej 59, which helps both the people driving home and whoever is carrying decorations in on the day.

Book early

December is the busiest month in the building and the weekend dates go first. Write to us as soon as you know your date and roughly how many guests are coming. You can also book a free visit and see the hall before deciding.

Frequently asked questions

Do you serve a traditional Danish julefrokost?

No. Our kitchen is Nepali. We do not serve herring, liver pâté, roast pork or the classic Danish cold table. What you get is a Nepali buffet cooked in house. If the party has to be traditional Danish food, we are not the right venue.

How many guests can you seat?

The hall seats 30 to 120 guests, with a minimum of 30. For a smaller group we can host you in the Maiya Nepali Kitchen restaurant instead.

Can the menu be fully vegetarian?

Yes. Any of our menus can be made fully vegetarian, and there is a separate Vegetable menu. Tell us about allergies and dietary needs when you book.

What about drinks for the Christmas party?

You can take no drinks package, add a soft drinks package, or bring your own drinks for a small charge per guest.

When should we book a Christmas party?

As early as you can. December is the busiest period and weekend dates are taken first. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Sunday.

Can we bring our own Christmas decorations?

Yes. Standard decoration is included in the hall fee, and you are welcome to bring your own Christmas decorations if you want a particular look in the room.

Is there space for music and dancing?

Yes. The seating is flexible, so we can set the room for the meal and clear space for music and dancing afterwards. A professional sound system is included.

What do children pay at a family Christmas party?

Children aged 5 to 12 pay half the menu price. The hall fee still applies per child.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is free on-site parking. The address is Højdevej 59, 2300 Copenhagen S, on Amager.
